Foundation

La Fondation Haïtienne de la Santé et de l’Education (FHASE) was launched and recognized as an independent, nonprofit organization by the Haitian Government in 1972.  In 1985, it was registered as a Non-Governmental Organization for Development (NGO).  The Haitian Health and Education Foundation (FHASE-USA) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit entity registered in the state of Florida.

The Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors consisting of seven voluntary members.  The Board members have two-year renewable terms.  The members can be individuals, institutions, societies, clubs, organizations, national or international groups whose activities are compatible with those of the Foundation and Haitian Law.

The Foundation includes:

  • Founding voting members, signers of the bylaws and articles of incorporation
  • Subscribing (non-voting) members
  • Voting members subject to intellectual or material contributions
